A young man who holds a Masters of Law degree in International Law and Human Rights, Terry Peterson, has joined the world’s largest campaign against the global arms trade organized by IANSA, Amnesty International and Oxfam.

In a statement Terry Peterson said, “I commend Caribbean nations for facing up to the arms crisis, and the damage caused by the unregulated flow of small arms and light weapons and unjust arms legislation. The arms treaty would outlaw the transfer of arms when there is evidence that these would contribute to human rights violations or breaches of international humanitarian law, or lead to extra-judicial killings as we see happening in some Caribbean islands.”
